“Elections” of officers for 2018.
Megan Baker joined the GCC executive board as Social Media Director. Fred Ellis agreed to serve as president until 2019, as did Laura Ellis as Treasurer and Sue Chisholm as Secretary. No election was held. Since it was mid-year, we all just agreed to say status quo to wait until 2019. It’s not too soon to start thinking about what YOU can do for GCC in 2019.
New GCC phone number 678 310 4505 (rings to GCC president.) A phone number is now tied directly to GCC. That provides GCC the flexibility to post or print long term projects without committing an individual phone number.
Web Page /Social Media Megan gave a report on the on the new web site. WIX will be the new server. The new look is progressing great. Members are encouraged to update bio or artist statement t for the Artist page for the New GCC web site. See attachment. Please read Megan’s instructions carefully, in the attachment. She’ll be updating 40 some member pages, we need to make it easy as possible for her to set up the members’ pages. Your “page” as a GCC member will list your name, studio, photo of work, cell, email, link to web site or face book. Whatever you provide Megan will be placed on your page. She will not cut and paste from the old web site, unless you confirm information and photos are up to date. This will insure the contact information you wish listed, and photo of your work is current for 2018.
Marketing Fred Ellis, Sue Chisholm, and Megan Baker are developing a marketing plan for volunteer recruitment, and membership, promoting the new web site. Our goal is to create effective handouts driving potential customers and potential members to the new GCC web site.
Membership was briefly discussed. Using credit card for payment is possible by calling the treasurer, Laura Ellis: 678 310 4502. A question about PayPal came up. GCC will not undertake that process at this time. Simply because PayPal requires federal documentation…GCC has never had. Obtaining federal id, etc. is time consuming, and costly for non-profits organizations.
The meeting ended at 7:00pm
Extremely good eats followed.
