The Georgia Clay Council was founded in 2003. We are a non- profit organization comprised of full time studio potters, sculptors, amateur enthusiasts, art educators and students, all sharing a common bond, the love of working with clay.

Our group is dedicated to providing opportunities for each artist’s professional development, social networking, educational growth, and to promote the art and craft of ceramics within our community. Our business meetings are held quarterly, usually in one of our member’s studios.

Our membership prices include two designations, volunteer and non-volunteer. Most members volunteer throughout the year in various capacities. All we ask is that you help out at a meeting or event; this could include setup or cleanup, making phone calls, helping to check in artwork for a show, volunteering for a board or committee position, etc… 

If you're joining to participate in a specific event, and not available to volunteer due to distance or time constraints, then you would choose the non-volunteer membership.

Membership Types:

• Individual Memberships:

  • $40 Volunteer Membership

  • $55 Non-Volunteer Membership

• Dual Memberships:

  • $50 Volunteer Couple Membership (only one person needs to volunteer) 

  • $70 Non-Volunteer Couple Membership

Individual memberships are for one person. Dual membership is for two people; it can either include two family members or two artists working in the same studio space.
