Our Programs
At the Georgia Clay Council, we believe art has the power to build strong communities and create meaningful change. Through our events and programs, we unite local artists and volunteers to support the community and those in need. Our initiatives, including educational programs and hands-on workshops, show our commitment to building relationships, nurturing local talent, and celebrating the rich tradition of ceramic arts. Our Canton Empty Bowls event directly contributes to addressing food insecurity in the Cherokee County area. Join us in using the transformative power of clay to raise awareness and support our neighbors.

The Georgia Clay Council is proud to offer an annual scholarship to its members, providing opportunities to further their education and skillset through workshops and classes. This scholarship is designed to help members expand their knowledge in the ceramics field, from advanced techniques to creative methods and tools.
Teacher Enrichment
Every few years the Georgia Clay Council, in collaboration with the Creative Arts Guild, organizes a workshop for teachers in the Georgia Art Educators Association. The event is designed to equip teachers with valuable skills and techniques to incorporate clay into their school programs. During this hands-on workshop, experienced members volunteered their time and expertise, mentoring educators and guiding them through various methods for using clay effectively in the classroom. This partnership fosters both creative expression and educational growth, empowering teachers to bring clay-based art projects to their students.
